Hearn Reacts To Wilder 50-50 Split Demands For Joshua Showdown

Amid all the talk this year about super fights involving Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury it’s easy to forget that these guys compete in the heavyweight division.

A weight class where literally one punch can derail any of the above fights if either lose their next bouts.

Joshua next fights June 1 in New York against Jarrell Miller while Wilder boxers May 18th against his mandatory Dominic Breazeale.

Fury meanwhile makes his Vegas debut on June 15th against Tom Schwarz.

Speaking to IFL TV today Hearn said of Wilder wanting 50/50 to fight Joshua later this year:

“So we might have to call his bluff one day. He doesn’t deserve 50/50 in my opinion. But you know, then it’s up to AJ to say well then if you have to give it to him, you know, then you may never get the fight. This doesn’t sound to me that a guy who wants to fight, you know — (Wilder saying) this is it, no negotiations. So, I think, maybe he’s (Wilder) saying that because he knows he won’t get it or knows he shouldn’t get it. But again, let him fight Breazeale (first). Let him concentrate on Breazeale. Don’t get beat in that fight.”
