Mayweather Senior Brutally Honest About Terence Crawford vs Amir Khan

World famous boxing trainer Floyd Mayweather senior is never one to mince his words or be shy about his opinions on upcoming bouts in the sport.

Whether they involved his son Mayweather junior or other fighters he’s trained in the past, or fighters who have nothing to do with him even — he doesn’t tend to pull his punches typically.

Later this year WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford will take on Amir Khan in a bout expected to be on ESPN in the US and Sky Sports in the UK.

Senior told Fight Hub TV that:

“I seen that (Canelo knock out Khan in the past). More than likely he’s (Khan) probably going to sleep again. Maybe he’s tired and he’s going to get another nap? (laughs)”

Well, he didn’t beat around the bush there and lived up to typical Floyd Mayweather senior form.

To be fair, not many seem to be giving Khan much of a chance in the fight since it was announced.

That said, that will suit the UK fighter down to the ground as he’ll have way less pressure going into the fight as a big underdog and likely will give him much more fuel in his training over the coming months.

The fight will take place on April 20th at the iconic Madison Square Garden.
