Anthony Joshua Reacts To Tyson Fury’s ESPN News

Earlier this week it was announced that lineal heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury had done a deal to have his fights in the US shown exclusively on ESPN moving forward in what was described as a long-term deal.

Huge news that rocked the boxing landscape in terms of possible fights with the likes of Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder potentially being made more difficult to make in the eyes of some.

Anthony Joshua the day after Fury’s news had his own announcement himself as he descended upon the Big Apple to announce his US debut on June 1st against Jarrell Miller.

When asked what he thought of Tyson Fury signing with ESPN, Joshua told members of the media:

“It’s interesting because of that was me they’d say he doesn’t want to fight. He’s gone to a different network. But it’s good for him isn’t it.”

He added:

“He’s made a decision on what is best for him I feel.”

One would hope the three fighter’s of Joshua, Wilder and Fury and their respective networks can work together later this year to try to make the fights that fans want.
