People React To Early Joshua vs Miller Undercard Mentioned So Far For June 1

Today is was officially announced by heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua that he would take on Jarrell Miller on June 1st at Madison Square Garden, New York next up.

The first fight of Joshua’s career to take place in the US.

Largely the news has underwhelmed the boxing world but to be fair to Joshua, he didn’t seem like he had any other options left due to continued, annoying boxing politics that continue to make sure a fight with him against Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury is not made.

That said, the two previously mentioned should be boxing one another once again in a rematch very soon so at least that’s something to look forward to.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has defended the decision today to scrap the April 13th Wembley plan and put on Joshua vs Miller instead as the card, according to him will be Ireland and the UK vs America and the world.

To be fair to him there seems to be some exciting talent involved on the card including Irish boxing sensation Katie Taylor.

However most of the boxing world are not happy with the following so far in terms of it being a pay per view card in the UK at least:

Although the fight and the card has been largely slammed by both casual sports fans and purist boxing fans so far it also important to point out that some feel the above does still have one or two very interesting scraps:

All in all, Wilder vs Fury is going to get both casual sports fans and hardcore boxing fans’ attention far more than this.

Lets hope the winner of both respective fights can box by the end of 2019.
