This weekend Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis returns to action live on Showtime.
It was meant to be against Mexican boxing warrior Abner Mares but due to a late pull out it will instead be against Hugo Ruiz.
In a fight for the WBA ‘Super’ super-featherweight title the bout will take place tomorrow night in Carson, California.

A big fight for Davis in that it’s not only for the world title but a bout that can put his career back on track after a frustrating time last year between inactivity and one or two other minor issues.
Recognized as one of the premier talents in the sport today, the Mayweather-promoted protege could catapult himself into the pound for pound rankings this year if he were to fight three times at least and put in the performances that fans know he can against top opposition before the year is out.
