Pacquiao Strength Coach Names 4 Possible Opponents For PacMan's Next Fight

Late last year former pound for pound number one boxer Floyd Mayweather intimated on social media and in various videos that he was coming back to boxing for a Manny Pacquiao rematch.

Subsequently, it never happened and Floyd boxed an exhibition bout in Japan on December 31st instead.

Following Pacquiao’s last win over Adrien Broner in Las Vegas Mayweather himself who was present at the fight didn’t in any way interest in a Pacquiao rematch like he had said before.

When PacMan signed with Mayweather adviser Al Haymon last year it was thought that the two would definitely fight but according to Pacquiao’s strength conditioner Justin Fortune, he doesn’t see it happening anymore.

Speaking to Barbershop Conversations, Fortune said:

I think whoever’s next out there, personally I don’t see Floyd coming back, but there’s Thurman, Porter and Danny Garcia. There good fights, they’re tough fights. If Thurman gets on a roll, as with Danny — he’s very hard, very hard to beat. Good fighter. Spence — great fighter. There’s some good fights out there for Manny. Some tough ones but some good, winnable fights.”

Certainly three of those fights for Pacquiao you could make the argument that he would be very competitive in and have a decent chance of winning.

Even at age 40 as things stand at this late stage of his pro boxing career.

The Spence fight might be a bit beyond Pacquiao at this point to be fair.

Spence has his hands full with Mikey Garcia next month in the meantime anyway in Texas.
