Robert Garcia’s fighter Josesito Lopez put on a great performance last weekend against welterweight champion Keith Thurman in a fight that Thurman won by majority decision but a bout where he was pushed to the limits by Lopez in.
Lopez has put himself in the shop window for a big possible fight next up and will be linked with all the top welterweight names out there, certainly the ones signed by the Premier Boxing Champions series.
Two fighters who just fought in the division in the form of Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner are also on the radar with the latter more of interest for Lopez for Garcia.
As for Pacquiao, many think he could take on Keith Thurman next at welterweight and speaking to Fight Hub, Garcia said on such a fight:
“If they’re to fight each other next I think Pacquiao wins a decision (against Thurman). I think Thurman is a hell of a fighter but I think he needs maybe two more fights to come back.”
