George Groves Reacts To Carl Froch's Comments Following His Retirement

Carl Froch referred to how he ‘ironed out’ George Groves yesterday following his retiring news in some less than classy remarks according to some boxing fans.

That said, many just mentioned that’s Carl Froch just being Carl Froch.

Groves has taken the words in classy form however and has now bad blood towards his former rival in the ring.

Speaking to Kugan Cassius of IFL TV, Groves said:

“The f***** knocked me out in front of 80,000 people at Wembley stadium but I made him is it eight figures? He got an eight figure payday out of me out of the two fights. He retired with all his belts. Who can knock a man like Carl Froch?”

He added:

“Congratulations. He should be the pin up boy for any young pro. That’s the way to go out man. He f****** smashed it. He has a free tongue to say whatever he wants.”

Groves also sat down more in-depth today to discuss his early retirement at the age of 30 and also touched on Froch’s comments more on Sky TV:
