Pacquiao vs Broner Fight Reportedly Does More Pay-Per-Views Than Wilder vs Fury

In a report just coming in from Tha Boxing Voice early reports suggest that last weekend’s Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas did very well indeed on Showtime pay-per-view.

Just last month WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury fought to a draw in LA on Showtime pay per view.

At the time, it was reported the fight did 300,000 pay per view buys in the US but the aftermath of the fight was so huge it will likely get close to a million or more buys second time round after the controversial draw result of the fight.

Coupled with the fact it was an amazing piece of heavyweight drama with Fury rising to his feet after looking to be out cold in round 12.

But as for Pacquiao vs Broner apparently doing more numbers than Fury vs Wilder on pay per view, I’m not surprised.

Broner is a big name and Pacquiao has long been a pay per view star in the sport.

Pay-per-view boxing in the US is clearly not dead at all.

Pacquiao has been linked to a rematch with Floyd Mayweather next up but it is unclear if Mayweather is genuinely serious about the fight just yet.

One thing is for sure however, Pacquiao will box on and most likely it will be on Showtime pay per view later this year once again.
