Broner's Reaction To Losing To Pacquiao Has Gone Down Terribly In The Boxing World

They say it’s important to be a good loser in defeat in life but tonight’s unanimous points decision loss to Manny Pacquiao for Adrien Broner has only made him lash out even more than he usually does in his post-fight interviews.

Speaking after the fight and the decision Broner fumed in the ring during his post-fight interview:

“I beat him.  Everybody out there knows I beat him.  I controlled the fight, he was missing.  I hit him clean more times. I beat him.

“Let me let all you know, I want to thank the whole hood who came out here.  You know I beat that boy.  They are trying to get that money with Pacquiao and Floyd.

“I beat him.  Smart boxing.”

Here’s the interview on Showtime tonight that got cut short in the end:

Dear oh dear. Broner also lashed out at Showtime’s Al Bernstein in the build-up to the fight earlier this week.

The above has brought about an absolute tidal wave of backlash so far with most fans, media and according to most people online — Pacquiao deserved to win the decision in the fight.

As for Broner, it will be interesting to see where he goes from here.

I’ve always felt that he was never a natural welterweight but at 29 years of age — there’s still plenty of time on his side if he decided to move down in weight where he once far more effective in the early days of his pro career.
