TJ Doheny Reacts To Defending IBF World Title In New York

Irishman TJ Doheny chalked in another stoppage win on Friday night in New York fighting live on DAZN as he took another big step in his career.

The 32 year old Portlaoise man now fighting out of Australia improved his professional record to 21-0-15KO with a TKO over challenger Ryohei Takahashi live on DAZN.

Following the fight Doheny said the following on social media:

With the backing of new promoter Eddie Hearn, management company MTK and now DAZN in America — the Irishman has the world at his feet.

One big fight that would be out there this year, all be it a very dangerous one would if he wanted it would be of course with Cuban boxing great Guillermo Rigondeaux.

‘Rigo’ returned to the sport last week on Premier Boxing Champions with a first round stoppage in in LA and signalled his intent to clean up ‘his division’ at 122lbs of which Doheny resides in at this time.
