The Stunning Moment Jorge Linares Got Knocked Out In Round 1 Of His 50th Fight

For those who have followed multiple weight division boxing world champion Jorge Linares’ career you’ll know just how good a fighter he is.

Technically, a superb fighter, but also a guy who has a flair for the dramatic and when he’s on who can open up electric combinations and attacks while outwitting his competition in the heat of battle.

But this Friday night in New York city this flair was on the other side of the street for the Venezuelan sweet science maestro for a change.

In the co-main event of the Demetrius Andrade WBO middleweight world title card on DAZN — Pablo Cesar Cano upset Jorge Linares by an upset victory right in the very first round by TKO.

Here’s the moment it all came crashing down in round one for Linares:

A perfectly timed overhand right from Cano. Full credit to him.

No doubt we’ll be hearing plenty more for him in the years ahead.

As for Linares, it’s back to the drawing board for the time being.

The fight was his 50th as a professional last night and the defeat now makes his record as a pro 45-5-28KO.
