Devin Haney Kicks Off 2019 Impressively and Posts Emotional Reaction

Undefeated 20 year old lightweight prospect Devin Haney (21-0-13KO) extended his unbeaten run on Firday night with a strong unanimous points decision win over South African Xolisani Ndongeni whom he handed his first loss of his pro career to.

Fighting on ShoBox: The New Generation — Haney scored a second round knockdown on his way to dominating the fight largely with the use of body shots and gradually breaking his opponent down as the fight progressed.

Speaking after the fight in his post-fight interview Haney said:

“I want those top guys (at 135lbs).”

He added:

“Now they really can’t deny me — I have been saying this for a long time but now I am a contender.”
