Amir Khan Set To Snub Kell Brook For Terence Crawford

Bolton boxer Amir Khan has gotten the boxing world talking for a number of reasons in recent weeks and has been the topic of discussion in early 2019 regarding his next fight.

For a long time it was thought that Khan would take on long standing rival from the UK Kell Brook after the he signed with Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn last year.

In theory that should have got rid of any obstacles from making the fight.

But, as is often the case in boxing, more came.

Khan demanded the fight be at 147lbs and even a re-hydration clause after the weigh-in of the fight — both which Brook agreed to.

However ESPN have now reported that Khan is very close to facing Terence Crawford in the US instead for what has been reported to be less money then he would make for a Kell Brook fight.

April 20th in either Las Vegas or New York is thought to be on the cards at the moment and the fight could be on an ESPN pay per view in the US too.

No comment has come at this time from either Brook, Khan or Crawford but expect news soon.

Khan’s next fight whoever it is against will be the last of his current three fight deal with promoter Eddie Hearn.
