Oscar De La Hoya Pays Tribute To Bernard Hopkins Since He Got KO’d By Him

The new year is now in full effect and boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya has been taking stock of those important to him as he bids to grow his promotional company Golden Boy once again.

The boxing business is perhaps as ruthless as business as one could ever come across.

People fall out and make up all the time, then fall out again and on the cycle tends to go.

One relationship that has been rock solid for De La Hoya in the business however is his partner at Golden Boy and former middleweight king Bernard Hopkins — who once knocked De La Hoya out in the ring with a wicked body shot.

De La Hoya has paid tribute to his loyalty as the year starts:

De La Hoya signed the biggest deal in boxing out of any promoter in the game when his fighter Canelo Alvarez put pen to paper on a five year deal worth a reported minimum of $365 million dollars to have his fights shown on streaming subscription service DAZN.
