Klitschko Has Texted Anthony Joshua And It's Intriguing

The race is on to see who Anthony Joshua’s next opponent will be on April 13th at Wembley stadium.

As thing’s stand it’s a bit in the lap of the Gods.

Anything could happen from Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury, the winner of Dillian Whyte vs Dereck Chisora — to even Oleksandr Usyk.

But a dramatic return to the sport of boxing by former undisputed number one heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko could also be a possibility it has now emerged.

Speaking to IFL, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn let slip:

“I think he text AJ and said: ‘I wanna come back. I feel like I beat everybody in the division right now.”

The pair shared the ring at Wembley stadium a couple of years back in what proved to be one of the best heavyweight fights of the modern era in front of a packed out Wembley stadium.

Joshua got knocked down in the fight but got up off the floor to comeback and knock Klitschko out in a classic fight.

There’s no doubting that a rematch would be huge but it all comes down to Wlad really.

The pair were meant to rematch after the first fight but Wlad decided to retire so it will be interesting to learn about what has changed between then and now.
