Danny Jacobs Calls Out Canelo For 2019 Showdown

Middleweight warrior Daniel ‘Miracle Man’ Jacobs wants a piece of boxing star Canelo Alvarez next year and is not beating around the bush about it.

Jacobs is recognized as one of the toughest boxers to ever live considering he came back from cancer and near death to be told that not only would he never box again by doctors, but likely would do well to live.

He came back to boxing to become a world champion not long after that.

The New Yorker has a remarkably inspirational story really.

One that has baffled this writer in terms of it not making him a huge name in boxing over the years but hopefully he gets the recognition he deserves before retirement.

Speaking today Jacobs said he’ll be ringside for the Canelo fight on Saturday:

“This is not only the absolute biggest fight (me and Canelo) to be made in the division, but one of the biggest in all of boxing. As long as he takes care of business on Saturday night I’m ready to go. Let’s give the fans and the sport of boxing what they want and let’s get this done for May 4.”

First thing’s first, Canelo takes on Rocky Fielding this Saturday live at Madison Square Garden.
