Tyson Fury Makes Brutally Honest Prediction On If Joshua Fought Wilder

Tyson Fury takes on WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder next weekend in the first major fight of his career in three years.

He’s had two warm up fights this year but December 1st will mark the first proper fight he’s had since shocking the world against Wladimir Klitschko in Germany in November 2015 when he won a points decision on away soil to become undisputed heavyweight champion.

In that time Anthony Joshua has since become the main man in the division but Fury doesn’t rate him as highly as Wilder.

In footage that has surfaced online, speaking to BT Sport previously Fury said of Joshua:

“I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s on top of the pile. He’s doing well and he’s got some belts. But is he a better fighter than Deontay Wilder? In my opinion he’s not. If them two fought Wilder would knock him out. AJ is a limited opponent. He’s big and strong and that’s it. He’s not going to bring anything to the ring that you’re not expecting.”

He added:

“You know what you’re going to get with him. He’s going to come forward in a straight line and look to land power punches. Failing to do that he’s lost.”

Fury takes on Wilder next Saturday December 1st at the Staples Centre in LA.
