Weight Loss Transformed Lucas Browne Scores KO

Australian heavyweight Lucas Browne got back on the proverbial bike with his career this weekend following an impressive showing.

Browne came into the fight off the back of a low-key KO win after suffering a disappointing loss to Dillian Whyte in the UK earlier this year where he was stopped inside the distance in London.

After the fight his promoter Ricky Hatton expressed how annoyed he was that he didn’t disclose his mental health issues at the time and that he had come to the UK badly out of shape for the contest.

Browne is back on track however following a huge weight loss and now a fifth round stoppage win under his belt:

The win came over opponent Junior Pati at the AMI Netball Centre in St Johns, Auckland, New Zealand.

It improved Browne’s professional boxing record to 27-1-0 (24KO).

Although Browne might be a bit away from big fights against the likes of Dillian Whyte and others for the time being, the fact he’s got back in shape and into condition should stand him in good stead as he continues the re-building journey.

Browne is still a big puncher for anyone at heavyweight and if he continues this new attitude to training and his health expect him to be knocking on the door of big fights sooner rather than later.
