The WBC, one of professional boxing’s main governing bodies have been caught up temporarily in a rather hilarious social media faux pas.

Everyone makes mistakes of course.

But sometimes, some can be more hilarious than others.

It would appear someone got access to the World Boxing Council Twitter account who either had a few drinks on board or perhaps was a big Conor McGregor fan.

Or someone who was just having a bit of fun.

Either way, this is something you don’t see everyday:

Well, well, well.

Some reports recently suggested Conor McGregor is considering a return to the sport of boxing in a possible fight against now retired Paulie Malignaggi.

While there would be some interest from both MMA and boxing no doubt, it’s debatable if it will actually happen.

McGregor recently signed a big contract with the UFC and it would be strange if they let him fight outside of the UFC again in a boxing match.

They know his power and won’t want to give that away again one suspects.

Particularly with boxing doing so well again as a sport too.
