Paulie Malignaggi Taunts Conor McGregor and Warns Him About A Boxing Match

Former world champion Paulie Malignaggi has fired fresh shots at UFC star Conor McGregor following recent reports that the Irishman might be considering a return to the boxing world.

McGregor’s sole professional boxing match came last year against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas.

Although he was stopped inside the distance, the fact he won early rounds against Mayweather and his performance overall surprised many.

Speaking to Fight Hype, Malignaggi said of a boxing match with him:

“I think you’d have to ask Conor does he want the fight. I could care less about the fight. He knows what really goes down with me and him and I honestly don’t think he wants the fight. Honestly Conor shouldn’t box, he shouldn’t do MMA, he shouldn’t do anything. Honestly, would you want to become known as the pinnate?”

He added:

“I don’t think he should even risk fighting because I think he’ll just solidify that status of becoming the pinnate of combat sports.”

On a fight with him in boxing, he noted:

“I question whether he really wants it (to box me).”

Malignaggi and McGregor’s beef has been on and off for over a year now, one that seems to have no definitive end in sight.

Malignaggi is currently a pundit and commentator at this time while McGregor recently returned to competition in a defeat to UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
