Dave Allen has to be one of the most popular boxers in the UK outside of the big names for his fan friendly personality and willingness to step up at short notice to fight anyone.

Last night his stamina started to go after a few rounds but was still able to get the job done.

That said, his promoter afterwards Eddie Hearn said that Allen had not even really trained for the fight or sparred for it.

Many fans commented that they’d like to see Allen take things more serious as he could go much further if he wanted to.

The win last night was the third stoppage win in a row for Allen and at just 26 he’s still very young in heavyweight terms just yet.
