Sugar Ray Leonard Gives His Take On Possible Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 Fight

Sugar Ray Leonard knows a thing about super fights in his career having fought some of the very best in the sport of boxing’s history.

Leonard is widely regarded as one of the best fighters of all time.

A man who could do it all.

A boxer who could both box and fight when he needed to and possessed hand speed and electric combinations that dazzled the masses for many years.

A warrior but an astute student of the sweet science too. When Leonard talks, people listen.

Speaking on Fox Sports’ Undisputed, Ray Leonard thinks that a Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 fight is not just a rumor – but a very real prospect next year:

“I don’t think they are necessary rumors. I think it’s on his mind. I think he thinks he can still do it. Myself included, we as fighters get to a point where we watch fighters on television and thin I can beat that guy. It’s about ego and about who we were back in the day.”

Mayweather has also been linked with a warm up fight against UFC champion Khabib in a boxing match.

However those plans appear to have been killed in recent days after UFC President Dana White said the fight would only happen in MMA within the UFC.
