Watch: Boxer In Bulgaria Attacks His Own Coach After Loss

This has to take the meaning of the term ‘sore loser’ to a new level. It’s hard to recall a time where a fighter has let his fists go on his own trainer in a professional boxing match, in fairness.

Boxing history has seen many crazy moments down through the years of fighters having meltdowns in the ring.

From ear biting, hard drug with drawl, bare knuckle punches thrown after a fight has ended, ring invasions, press conference brawls, even referees getting attacked.

There’s been plenty of chaos over the years.

But, this has to be one of the rare times a boxer actually attacked his own coach (hat tip Kugan Cassius Twitter) which took place on the Hughie Fury vs Kubrat Pulev undercard last night in Sofia, Bulgaria:

Nice defensive work from the trainer there. Nothing significant of note landing.

But on a serious note, disgraceful scenes.

Here is another look from a different angle (hat tip Michael Benson Twitter):

No doubt the boxer in question will be up before some form of disciplinary action after this and this working relationship with his trainer is now most likely done.

A boxer and trainer usually have a sacred bond of trust and respect. The above is one of the few times we can ever recall something like this happening.

Truly bizarre scenes from a fighter clearly unhappy after he suffered a loss.
