Billy Joe Saunders Reacts To Andrade Winning His Old World Title

Billy Joe Saunders was WBO middleweight champion up until literally two weeks ago when he was forced to vacate the belt after an Athletic Commission refused to grant him a license to fight against Demetrius Andrade.

Saunders allegedly failed a VADA test that he signed up for previously and Saunders’ team are now taking action against the decision.

There appears to be a grey area surrounding the whole situation as the country where Saunders lives in (the UK) UKAD reportedly did not support the decision from the Commission in Boston.

Andrade’s promoter Eddie Hearn has said that he will now look to make the fight with Saunders immediately pending what happens next.

Saunders has spoken on Twitter and clearly feels that Andrade and his promoter have robbed his title from him:

It must be a horrible feeling to lose a world title outside the ring and then have to watch two other boxers fight for your title.

Things have gone from bad to worst for Saunders who finally looked like he was gaining momentum stemming from an impressive performance last December in Canada against David Lemieux.

Arguably a career best performance at the time.

Now though, his future and career are in limbo once again.
