Pacquiao Reveals When He Wants Mayweather Rematch In 2019 – Speaks On The Al Haymon Link Up

Manny Pacquiao is a busy man in the news at the moment after his fight with Adrien Broner was confirmed by him earlier this week.

The fight will take place on either January 12th or January 19th with Pacquiao saying to a group of reporters in his home country:

“I want the 12th.”

Speaking on his new link up with power player Al Haymon, a manager and the founder of the Premier Boxing Champions series in the US – Pacquiao said:

“Yes it is a partnership (with Al Haymon) but it is M.P. Promotions (my own promotional company) who will promote my next fight (against Broner).”

On when he wants the rematch with Mayweather, he concluded:

“Let’s focus first on this coming January (Broner) but if that fight (Mayweather rematch) happens of course I want it on Cinco De Mayo (Mexican holiday in May) – or else July (2019).”

There you have it.

Despite everything you might hear in the media about Mayweather wanting to face UFC fighter Khabib, which might be true, the real truth is both him and Pacquiao are definitely building towards a rematch with one another next year.

It’s not out of the realm of possibilities that Mayweather could box UFC champion Khabib as a warm up for Pacquiao but by the looks of things, the Pacquiao rematch is the ultimate goal of both parties at this point in time.
