Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe Threatens Oscar De La Hoya

Things have now gotten very heated between the two CEO’s of the promotional outfits after an attempt to lure Gervonta Davis to a new streaming platform was made in public.

The long-standing unhappiness of Davis with his current promoter Floyd Mayweather and his promotional company Mayweather Promotions has been made public by Davis himself.

Last night Oscar De La Hoya reached out to the fighter on Twitter suggesting he fights on streaming platform DAZN.

Some back and forth went on between De La Hoya and Davis’ promoter Leonard Ellerbe with the last tweet now threatening legal action against De La Hoya:

Earlier this week De La Hoya and Canelo penned a $365 million deal with DAZN which according to press releases they are saying is the biggest contract of its kind in sports history.

Davis has been linked with a fight against Tevin Farmer who boxes tonight on DAZN in Boston but multiple offers have already been turned down according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

It’s a real dog fight out there in a new age world at the moment in boxing – not just in the ring either.
