50 Cent Stands Up For Canelo After Mayweather Roasting

Rapper and boxing promoter 50 Cent has taken issue with comments made by his old friend Floyd Mayweather towards Canelo Alvarez.

The comments pertain to Mayweather’s Instagram post yesterday after Canelo announced the biggest deal in boxing with DAZN.

Mayweather mocked the deal and bragged that Canelo was the easiest fight of his career.

Canelo for his part was mild in his response whereas his promoter Oscar De La Hoya was not, bringing up Mayweather’s domestic violence history in the past with women.

Now 50 Cent has stepped in with the following:

It would appear that neither 50 Cent or Mayweather are going to be friends anytime soon as their own beef continues to rage on via social media.

50 Cent recently announced his return to the fight business but it’s unclear what fighters he is working with at this point, both in boxing or MMA.

Scott Coker of Bellator recently suggested that it was from a manager perspective, at least in MMA.

Time will tell what the rapper does in boxing once again.
