David Price was forced to retire in his corner tonight at Wembley due to injury it appears. There has been a big reaction online and one of his former rivals Tyson Fury has been one of the people having his say.

Big punching heavyweight David Price after four rounds of boxing tonight in what appeared to be quite an even fight retired on his stool due to injury.

Straight after the fight a section of online fans have been highly critical of Price and many have called for him to retire.

At the end of the day though that is his decision and his decision alone.

In the past former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury was one of his biggest critics but in recent years he’s been more supportive of his former Liverpool rival.

Speaking after the fight Fury had this to say:

Indeed, many agree with Fury judging by the massive reaction has had to the tweet in such a short space of time so far.

Price has suffered a number of crushing knockout defeats in his career.

Time will tell where he goes from here.
