Victor Ortiz knows a thing about Floyd Mayweather having fought him before and was on hand recently to give his take on Mayweather’s plans to come back and fight Manny Pacquiao in a rematch.

Ortiz didn’t get the win that night but earned a career high pay-day.

“I’m a fan at the end of the day. Best to both. It’s awesome. Good stuff. That’s news to me.”

He added:

“I’m not sure (if it happens). It’s a great fight man. It’s a great fight. Like I said, I’ll be a fan. Like the other day when Canelo fought GGG the other day. I was a fan. I’ll definitely watch this fight (too). Why not? They are welterweights.”

On who wins:

“Mayweather. He’s classy, you know.”

Ortiz has his own fight to worry about first up at the end of the month when he takes on John Molina Jr on September 30th in Ontario.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 doesn’t like likely either for this year with Mayweather earlier this week claiming he’s taking a warm up fight first in Tokyo before taking on Pacquiao in a rematch.
