Boxing perhaps leads itself to social media unlike any other sport due to the international fragmentation of it and fans passionately backing their respective fighters from their home countries against perceived rival countries in the sport (USA vs UK, Mexico vs Puerto Rico, etc).

Hell, in some parts of the world you’d be liable to nearly get killed for having the wrong boxing opinion. But that’s another story.
