Carl Froch Gives Brutally Honest Reaction To Khan’s Win Over Vargas – Slams Khan

Carl Froch was never one to mince his words during his career and he hasn’t changed that tact in retirement.

Froch was known as one of the best UK warriors of his particular generation, facing the best competition available time and time again.

Speaking To Kugan Cassius of IFL TV, Froch said of Khan’s win this weekend:

“It’s a twelve round lackluster performance against a limited opposition in Vargas.”

Froch added:

“At world level that performance from Amir Khan will not be enough to beat them top boys in that division and that’s where he wants to go. But maybe he doesn’t want to go there because tonight he spoke about, not even Kell Brook. Well, he doesn’t want to fight Kell Brook because he said he wants the Manny Pacquiao fight before the Brook fight.”

He continued:

“For me Amir Khan is back but (for) a pay check. He’s not back for a world title. He’s not realistic about who he’s going to be fighting.”

He went on:

“He showed his cards there tonight Amir Khan. He’s very limited at 147lbs.”

Strong words from the former super-middleweight world champion.
