In an all Filipino battle for the WBO super-flyweight title tonight Donnie Nietes looks to become a four-weight champion but will have to get past the bigger and younger Aston Palicte to do so.

Tonight’s Super Fly 3 card live on HBO takes place in California and many of the hardcore and Filipino boxing fans around the world will have their eyes on this fight in particular.

Both men made weight at the first time of trying to ensure the WBO super-flyweight title is on the line for both tonight.

The weigh-in and final face off between the two fighters was caught by the folks at Fight Hub TV (hat tip):

This size difference very clear to see there but as Nietes said himself before the fight earlier this week:

“This isn’t basketball, this is boxing.”

That being said, to land his work and truly be effective tonight he will need to work hard to get inside that reach to get his shots off.
