Brook Will Be At The Khan Fight Tonight and He’s Not Too Pleased With Him

Former IBF welterweight world champion Kell Brook will be at the Amir Khan vs Samuel Vargas fight tonight in Birmingham and has fired verbal shots at his rival ahead of proceedings.

Recently Brook confirmed that he will boil back down to the welterweight limit of 147lbs for a fight with Khan, despite moving to super-welterweight and looking much stronger earlier this year.

Fighting at welterweight will no doubt put Brook at a slight disadvantage but he doesn’t care as long as he can get his fists on Bolton native Khan.

Speaking to Talk Sport, Brook said:

“All I want to do is make this fight happen for all the fans. He’s a little b**** to be honest with you, he is. He’s tried every excuse in the book to not make the fight. It’s gonna kill me to make 147lbs, but I’m willing to get down and make that fight.”

The hatred between the two is clearly very real and it would be a huge fight in December if it can be made for then.

The two fighters have been linked with a fight for well over six years at this point but for one reason or another the fight just never happened.

From a timing perspective, now appears to be the best time in years to make the fight.

Both fighters want it, are now with the same promoter and all other obstacles appear to be out-of-the-way.

Provided Khan wins tonight there is no logical reason anymore why the Brook fight cannot happen next.
