Kell Brook Weight Change Indicates Khan or Pacquiao Next

Kell Brook is on the move once again in boxing weight classes.

The former IBF welterweight champion from Sheffield made the move to super-welterweight earlier this year after losing his title last year at 147lbs to American Errol Spence Jr.

Brook before that also competed up at middleweight in a brave stoppage loss at the hands of division kingpin Gennady Golovkin.

Sky Sports have now reported this morning that Kell Brook is now returning to his old division of welterweight.

A division he has always struggled to make the weight for and now, a bit older and after having gone up all the way to middleweight, one he’s likely going to find harder to make at this point.

The only thing though that is a help to him is the added motivation of a super fight against either Amir Khan or Manny Pacquiao is on the line to make the weight.

That should help in the motivation to get back down to 147lbs in what has been an incredibly difficult task for Brook to do throughout his career.

The move also shows that Khan and Pacquiao are the A-Side in the negotiations as the pair both box at welterweight and obviously were not open to making a catch weight with Brook in the middle somewhere.
