Pacquiao vs Khan or Brook Unlikely For 2018 – Garcia Front Runner

Talks of Manny Pacquiao facing Amir Khan or Kell Brook in December have been frequent in the boxing news over the past week but Pacquiao facing the winner of a fight between Khan and Brook now seems a more likely scenario.

Pacquiao is still shopping around for his next promotional deal after becoming a free agent from Top Rank last year.

He staged his own promotion for the recent Lucas Matthysse win in Malaysia which took place under M.P Promotions.

Potentially, he could do this again in December.

If he were not to sign for a major promoter by then.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has indicated he is interested in signing Pacquiao to DAZN and that Pacquiao is interested in both fighting Brook or Khan.

But at the end of the day, Eddie Hearn is keen to make Khan vs Brook instead for December. That fight would be huge.

Khan fights this weekend against Samuel Vargas so must get past that of course, but provided he does, expect Khan vs Brook at long last in December.

This leaves the door open for Pacquiao to take on Mikey Garcia potentially at welterweight in December where ‘Pacman’ just won the WBA title against Matthysse.

Garcia also has mentioned he is willing to fight Pacquiao anywhere – including outside the US.

This move would require Garcia to step up two weight classes to face Pacquiao which should make it on the whole an even fight.

Overall, Pacquiao vs Garcia and Khan vs Brook in December wouldn’t be too shabby at all.
