Fury Yet To Apply For Boxing License In The US For Wilder Fight

It has emerged that despite Tyson Fury looking to take on Deontay Wilder most likely in December in Las Vegas, that he has not put in an application for a professional boxing license there as of yet.

Sky Sports confirmed the news this morning that both the Nevada State Athletic Commission and the New York State Athletic Commission have yet to receive an application from Fury.

Tomorrow is September 1st and fans who are eager to see the fight want to know what travel arrangements they need to make as far out as possible in terms of flights and hotels.

I wouldn’t worry too much about Fury not applying for a license at this stage, mind you.

It’s a relatively easy process for a license holder in the UK and Fury has proven himself back in relative fight shape with his most recent weigh-in of 18 stone 6 lbs for the Francesco Pianeta fight.

Fury’s also fought in the US before and received a license no problem there in the past (Steve Cunningham fight).

While a lot of reports have suggested that the Wilder vs Fury fight might not be going ahead, realistically, it’s just not had a date and venue announced yet as Fury is still on holidays with his family.

You’d imagine a formal press conference where both men are present will announce the actual date and venue.

Although, this needs to happen quite soon in fairness.
