Frank Warren Lets Rip At Sky Sports Boxing In 4 Point Statement

Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren is on the front foot this morning, looking to back his rival broadcaster up with the jab after media giant Sky Sports released a story about Tyson Fury this morning not having a license to box in the US yet for a potential Deontay Wilder bout.

As reported earlier, it’s not really an issue that Fury hasn’t applied for a license yet.

These are very standard for a professional fighter of his standing to get.

The process is very straightforward really.

Frank Warren who promotes Tyson Fury who fights on rival network in the UK to Sky, BT Sport, has come out firing on all cylinders today against the story.

Here’s the initial story and Warren’s reply from his verified Twitter account:

Some interesting points above there.

It just ups the ante even more between Warren and rival promoter Eddie Hearn and rival networks in the UK Sky and BT.

Boxing, the ultimately hype business. It really is buzzing at the moment.

This kind of verbal warfare just builds things even more.

This type of competition between people outside of the ring between promoters and networks only goes to show how much competition is in the sport at the moment.

Great to see.

In terms of the Wilder vs Fury fight, one would expect something by the end of next week concrete confirming date and venue.
