Anthony Joshua Reveals His Two Sparring Partners Ahead Of Povetkin Fight

Heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua is only a month away from one of his most dangerous noble art assignments yet when he takes on respected Russian heavyweight Alexander Povetkin on September 22nd in the UK.

Anyone that knows boxing will tell you that Joshua is in a very real fight next month with Povetkin.

And he knows it.

Him and his head coach Robert McCracken have drafted in the appropriate sparring partners for the test accordingly.

One of them was known before today, but now Joshua has revealed both of the men who will help get him ready for September 22nd’s must win fight against Povetkin at Wembley stadium in London:

On the left is Martin Bakole (11-0-8KO).

A highly touted heavyweight prospect originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo now fighting out of Scotland under the guidance of trainer Billy Nelson, former coach to world champion Ricky Burns.

On the right is the current European heavyweight champion.

25-year-old German Agit Kabayel (18-0-13KO).

Both nimble on their feet with quick hands and are in and around the physical dimensions of Povetkin, so not a bad piece of work here bringing them in to be fair.

Clear evidence of the sizable task that Joshua and Povetkin know they have ahead of them and are giving it the respect it deserves.

The bout on September 22nd will be shown live on DAZN in the US and on Sky Sports PPV in the UK.
