Tyson Fury Reveals Secret Meeting With Tony Bellew

Fury takes on Francesco Pianeta this weekend in Belfast’s Windsor Park.

Should he win Fury looks like he’ll be put straight in with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder this coming November or December.

Wilder himself will be ringside commentating on the fight this weekend.

Prior to his initial comeback earlier this year against Sefer Seferi, it was widely known that Fury was considering a deal from promoter Eddie Hearn.

Fury went with Hearn’s rival Frank Warren in the end and after the decision Hearn mentioned the main reason the pair did not come to an agreement was, in Hearn’s opinion, due to the low-level of opposition Fury wanted to face.

This has changed somewhat with Fury now willing to take on Wilder so soon this side of Christmas.

Speaking to IFL TV, Fury revealed that at one point he met in person with Tony Bellew whom was actually offered as a fight to him when he was at a remarkable 27 stone.

It didn’t happen in the end as David Haye was able to take on Bellew in a rematch earlier this year.

Fury reveals the fights Hearn offered him and why only a 50-50 deal for the Joshua fight is acceptable for him to make the bout next year:
