Goodwin’s Dennis Wahome Eyes Southern Area Title Shot

Super Featherweight Dennis Wahome says him and his team are eyeing up the Southern Area belt in the near future.

The 29-year-old is trained by Xavier Miller out of the growing IQ stable alongside the likes Youssef Khoumari and Robbie Chapman.

Having amassed three wins in three outings, including an impressive victory over former Southern Area two weight Champion Jamie Speight, Wahome is building quite a reputation.

Originally from Kenya and now residing in Northolt, the talented prospect is next in action on Goodwin Boxing’s ‘Brawl in the Hall’.

And after sparring Southern Area contender Jeffrey Ofori in the build up to his fight, Wahome admits his team are aiming for similar in the next 12 months.

“I want to finish this year on six or seven fights and then look to start challenging for titles next year,” he said.

“I’ve got to remain undefeated, stay in shape, winning fights impressively and building my support.

“I’m with Xavier Miller down at IQ, we want to aim for the Southern Area at least by next 12 months.

“We’ve got a great stable down there, the likes of Youssef Khoumari and everyone knows about Junior Saba so I’ve been getting great sparring.

“Even though he’s not part of our team, Jeffrey Ofori has been down as he’s out in October fighting for the Area belt, it’s been great to get some rounds in with another heavier guy.

“It’s been a great camp, a great year and I’m looking forward to continuing my form on the 15th.”

Dennis would like to thank Combat Graphics and Social Elevate for their continued support.
