Who Should The New Manny Pacquiao Boxing Promoter Be?

Competition to be the new Manny Pacquiao boxing promoter is heating up after the Filipino boxer recently revealed he is now a free agent.

Of course, there is a good chance that he could sign on again with his old promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank too.

Particularly given their partnership with ESPN which has been generating massive viewing figures in the US since it started last year on the new ESPN+ app.

But at this stage of his career, a particularly late one with probably only two to three fights left, likely Manny will go with whoever offers him the most money.

It’s prize fighting after all and a legendary career like his deserves to be rounded off with some nice pay days.

The two main promoters who have spoken in public over the past few weeks about signing Pacquiao have been Eddie Hearn who launches the new DAZN app in the US soon and Pacquiao’s old rival – Floyd Mayweather.

Both could likely put together significant packages and secure big fights for the ‘Pacman’ but make no mistake about it, the race is on between plenty of more promoters besides the above two to secure Pacquiao’s promotional services in the US.

Pacquiao has his own promotional company M.P Promotions that handles his bouts now in Asia like his last one in Malaysia against Lucas Matthysse that he won by knockout, but it will be interesting to see who he goes with for the last few fights of his career Stateside.

You’ve also got Golden Boy Promotions who might be a dark horse to secure his services too.

Particularly after assisting in the last promotion in Malaysia for his fight against their fighter Matthysse, a promotion that by all accounts went well.

Expect news on the new Manny Pacquiao boxing promoter in the coming weeks.
