Dereck Chisora Reacts To Career Turn Around Knockout Of Takam

Dereck Chisora Reacts To Career

Last night in London saw three sensational heavyweight fights, all for different reasons, with the victors of Dave Allen, Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte all stunning fans in attendance and watching on TV for different reasons.

Perhaps the best fight of the three however was between Dereck Chisora and former Anthony Joshua opponent, Carlos Takam.

Takam not long ago had broken Joshua’s nose and pushed him very hard before been stopped inside the distance by the current heavyweight champion.

But Chisora went one better last night and knocked Takam out cold with two overhand rights – straight out of the gates of hell.

Speaking after the fight to Kugan Cassius of IFL TV, Chisora said:

“War, heart. If I had won that fight on points it would have been a heart-break for the fans. How it happened that way was God’s will. Tough man. He’s upset I beat him. He shouldn’t be. They wrote me off. You know what, right now, I’m going to go out and watch this and challenge the winner (of Whyte vs Parker). I owe that victory to Don (Charles, my trainer) as well. He deserved that.”

Indeed he lived up to his word, he tried to get into the ring straight after Dilian Whyte beat Joseph Parker by unanimous decision but was stopped by multiple members of security.

One thing is for sure, he’s back in the mix for big fights after last night.
