Jeff Horn Misses Weight Against Crawford At First Attempt

Australian world champion Jeff Horn has missed the weight at his first attempt of trying against Terence Crawford in Las Vegas today.

Horn who is the WBO world welterweight champion defending this weekend at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will have an hour to come back and weigh in inside the welterweight limit.

He missed weight by 0.5lbs on the first attempt so he should not have much trouble in getting that off in the Vegas heat within the hour.

Challenger Terence Crawford made the weight at his first attempt of trying – weighing in at 146.5lbs.

The fight will be shown live on ESPN + tomorrow night which is the new app ESPN are pushing for $4.99 per month as they move most of their sports content online from television.

Horn originally won the belt last year in a close and controversial decision in Australia against former champion Manny Pacquiao, also promoted by the same promoter of Terence Crawford – Bob Arum of Top Rank.
