Tony Bellew Erupts On Fury’s Choice Of Comeback Opponent

bellew erupts on fury

Tony Bellew has ripped Tyson Fury’s opponent Sefer Seferi this weekend as both he and Fury continue to be linked with a potential fight against one another later in the year.

Bellew is currently basking in the glory of upsetting the odds against David Haye for a second time recently.

Inside the distance again too but even more conclusive.

Bellew was dominant in the Haye rematch and totally outclassed and out fought Haye on the night.

Following the right both Fury and Bellew were vocal about one another in the media to say the least.

The two at one point in the past were understood to have actually met in person to try to make the fight but nothing ever materialized.

One gets the sense however that it won’t be long before we see the two in the ring.

Speaking in his column on The Metro, Bellew pulled no punches on Fury’s opponent this weekend:

“His opponent is a clown, but he’s entitled to pick him. Don’t forget, I criticised David Haye for doing the same thing when he came back. At least he fought a ranked heavyweight, even if it was someone who learned to fight on Youtube. I would have to class Fury the same as Haye if he picks another clown opponent. We can all get away with it once. He’s been out of the ring for many years, the first one is a gimme. But if he does it on the second one, that’s no good.”

Fury takes on Sefer Seferi tomorrow night live on BT Sport in the UK from the Manchester Arena.

The bout will be streamed in the US live on the Showtime Facebook and YouTube channels.
