Lucas Matthysse On What He Expects From Manny Pacquaio

Big hitting Argentinian Lucas Matthysse finds himself in a career crossroads fight next month against Filipino boxing great Manny Pacquiao.

Perhaps it’s fair to assume that both men are well past there best at this stage.

But that said, both fighters still carry knock out power and possess fan friendly fight styles to ensure when they meet that it won’t be a dull affair.

Speaking today on what he expects to see from Pacquiao, Lucas Matthysse said:

“I expect the same Manny Pacquiao as always. He is a respectable champion, but I’m a champion as well. I’ve been fighting for a long time. I know he has a lot of experience as well. It will be a great fight, and I expect to see the same Manny Pacquiao I watched on television. Now I’m going to see him in the ring. This is something very big for me and my career.”

The fight takes place on the 15th of June in Malaysia.

It is thought that it could be the last or second last fight of the great Manny Pacquiao’s boxing career.

He will go into the fight without his usual trainer and long time friend Freddie Roach in his corner.
