Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is currently in the US at the moment and found himself the subject of a funny moment on American TV during an NBA game.

There’s no denying that Anthony Joshua is a huge star in world boxing.

Arguably the biggest global star in the sport now.

But is he a bigger name in the US than say, Canelo? No. Not yet.

He has a long way to go until he becomes a household name in America but a fight with American WBC champion Deontay Wilder could certainly help that.

While watching an NBA game last night the commentator at one point called Joshua ‘Anthony Johnson’:

Perhaps an indication that outside of boxing circles in America, Joshua is not that big a name yet.

Indeed, former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis believes that Joshua because of this needs to do the following:

It is thought Joshua could be in the US at the moment to put pen to paper potentially on a massive deal to fight Deontay Wilder in a heavyweight super fight.
