UK heavyweight Dillian Whyte has growing frustrations with the boxing politics in his division that continue to keep a title shot just out of reach.

Whyte has built up strong rankings in the IBF and WBC this past year with not long ago a fight against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder mooted.

However Wilder is now locked in negotiations with fellow champion Anthony Joshua – so Whyte has instead gone down the IBF route.

He is currently in negotiations for an IBF final eliminator against Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev but speaking today on Sky Sports – Whyte is fed up with him and indeed the rest of the division:

“He’s just wasting time, it’s a straightforward fight, the winner gets a crack at the big apple. I’m up for the fight, he says he’s up for the fight. He said I’m the perfect opponent for him. Well for some reason, him and (his promoter) Kalle (Sauerland) are taking long. I hate heavyweight boxing. It’s full of cowards.”

Whyte last fought back in March in perhaps one of the best performances of his career to date when he dismantled Australian Lucas Browne inside the distance at the O2 Arena in London.
