The Moment Tony Bellew Knocked David Haye Out In Round 5

Tony Bellew knocked David Haye out in conclusive fashion this weekend at London’s 02 Arena in a repeat result of their first fight a year ago.

Tony Bellew will have woke up a happy man today following arguably the biggest win of his career outside of winning the world title by beating world-renowned fighter David Haye for a second time.

On Cinco De Mayo weekend it was the Haye vs Bellew fight that proved to be the biggest event in world boxing with the Canelo vs Golovkin fight falling out temporarily – and Bellew made sure he captured every bit of that lime light.

This stoppage in round 5 will ensure that a very big fight could be just around the corner for Bellew:

A beautiful left hook from Bellew.

A shot he mentioned in the post-fight press conference that he had studied since a young boy from legendary left hookers like Felix Trinidad and Joe Frazier.

Bellew also revealed that he and his coach anticipated Haye to try to trade left hooks with him from their viewing of the pre-fight training footage in the build-up to the fight.

Bellew now puts himself in the shop window for some very big fights and has been linked with potential bouts against Tyson Fury and even Andre Ward later in the year.
