Danny Jacobs’ Road Back to A Title Shot

Danny ‘Miracle Man’ Jacobs returns to the ring this weekend in what will be his second fight under new promoter Eddie Hearn and Hearn’s new American leg to his promotion – Matchroom Boxing USA.

Since losing a very close fight to Gennady Golovkin Brownsville’s Danny Jacobs has got back in the winning column and back on track.

That night against Golovkin he arguably gave ‘GGG’ the toughest fight of his professional career to date, pushing him hard and in the eyes of some even doing just enough to take the fight on points.

Although he didn’t get the decision that night his stock undoubtedly went up.

This weekend’s test against Maciej Sulecki while a possibly entertaining fight on paper, at the same time should be one the home town New Yorker should look to win in style.

Fighting on HBO it won’t be enough to just get the win – the performance will need to match.

He knows that fights with the likes of Billy Joe Saunders and the winner of Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez are just around the corner if he keeps winning and with an inspirational story like his, a man who came back from defeating cancer to not only return to professional boxing – but to become a world champion no less – is one that is surely not finished just yet.

Jacobs’ new promoter Eddie Hearn says he’ll help tell that story more and more to American fight fans – but it’s up to Jacobs to keep winning in style.

First and foremost.
